With Super Bowl LIX in the books, all eyes are on the Bay Area as the countdown begins for Levi's Stadium hosting Super Bowl LX next year.
The official handover ceremony was held Monday. The game in 2026 will mean a huge boost for the region's economy a decade after the stadium played host to Super Bowl 50 in 2016.
The Bay Area is officially on the clock to host the next Super Bowl.
Earlier Monday, New Orleans officials completed the Super Bowl handoff to the Bay Area Host Committee.
Next year, Levi’s Stadium will host the sport's biggest game once again, 10 years after the first time the mega event came to Santa Clara.
“But there’s no doubt that football, its audience and the Super Bowl itself has gotten so much bigger since then and I'm here to tell you that we will be ready,” said Zaileen Janmohamed, President of the Bay Area Host Committee.
